This dude spend less than £5 a year on food by raiding supermarket bins

William Reid survives by scavenging through supermarket bins to find perfectly good food that has been thrown away. These aren't just rolls packets of ham that are on the turn - he actually finds perfectly in date meat, tins and salads. It's actually so fucking sad to see how much food waste these supermarkets produce. I remember going to my local Sainsbury's in the evening and seeing the staff filling up black bag of perfectly good pastries and bread. It was a really upsetting sight as this waste could be going to the homeless or to food banks.

Huffington Post has launched the #Reclaim campaign to highlight the problem of global food waste, and more importantly, work towards reducing it. Check it out!
