State of this Cristiano Ronaldo statue!
The Portuguese island of Madeira has just re-named its local airport in honour of their most famous son.
It shall henceforth be known as the Cristiano Ronaldo Airport, and a plaque and copper bust was unveiled earlier today to mark the occasion.
However...
I mean, you can sort of see the likeness.
Did you ever catch yourself in the mirror after a long night on some illegal substance or other and feel as though your face had caved in? You can tell it's you, but things are gonna need to improve before the weekend's out or people will start asking questions.
It's basically that, immortalised in copper.
Of course this isn't the first time ol' CR7's been involved in metal-based controversy. Remember the statue he had built at his very own museum?
That didn't turn out brilliantly either. Might be time to start considering alternatives.
