Horror movie 'Rupture' looks utterly terrifying
Over the weekend I watched a trailer for the movie Rupture and it really intrigued me. I love the concept of altering a persons genetic makeup and the trailer looked utterly terrifying. However, the reviews for the film were luke warm and critics decribed the movie as "silly torture porn". I'm certainly not opposed to a bit of torture porn every now and then (who doesn't love Saw?!) but silly torture porn, not so much. We shall see. You can't always believe the critics; I mean, they slated Batman V Superman and I thought it was awesome. Anyhoo, I'll let you be the judge.
The synopsis reads:
RUPTURE follows Renee Morgan (Noomi Rapace), a single mom, who is deathly terrified of spiders. While on route to meet up with a friend, she is violently abducted by a group of strangers. After enduring intense yet strange questioning and examinations, some about her fear of spiders, Renee soon discovers that she is now the subject of an underground experiment. Her captors explain to her that she has a genetic abnormality that can potentially allow her to "rupture" and reveal her alien nature. Renee must find a way to escape before it is too late.
