Former Real Madrid and Everton 'star' Royston Drenthe has just released a rap single!
I've had a good think, and decided that footballers launching music careers might be my favourite thing in the whole wide world. I'm not fussed if it's tongue in cheek cheesiness a-la Hoddle and Waddle, or lads with genuine talent such as Yannick Bolasie. We just need to see more of it.
But anyway, Drenthe. Still only 29, the former Holland international was last seen playing for Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates. He was released last summer, however, and hasn't been able to find a club since.
That's assuming he was looking, mind. It might just be that he's jacked it in and is now fully focused on the music instead. If that's the case, then he shall henceforth be known as Roya2Faces. Have a listen to his debut single 'Paranoia'.
