Caroline Flack forced to step down as Love Island host following her arrest

It ain’t a good week for Caroline Flack, who was dropped as the host of Love Island a few just after she was arrested for beating up her boyfriend. Yikes!

Caroline Flack was forced to step down as Love Island host, where she was due to pocket £1.2 million a year over the next three years. Ouch, that’s gotta hurt! Caroline was arrested on 12th December after neighbours called the police over a domestic dispute at Caroline’s pad in North London. When cops arrived, they discovered that Caroline had beaten up her boyfriend Lewis Burton over jealousy issues.

Caroline’s world continued to crumble as she began losing further endorsement deals including River Island, who said they will no longer be working with Caroline, despite her having worked on a whole bunch of collections with them.

Caroline released an open letter to her fans which said she is “absolutely devastated” to be stepping down as Love Island host, and also addressed claims that she’s a ‘cougar’ to which she replied “I’m Queen of the Cougars”. She said:

My current status is not just that I’m a cougar, I’m Queen Cougar, which I guess is something I’m supposed to be ashamed of. But I’m just not. If ‘cougar’ is supposed to be some kind of insult, I’m taking control of that and turning it into a badge of honour. I’m Caroline Louise Flack and I’m Queen of the Cougars.

Hmm, ok. It’s all cool to be a cougar, but not a cougar who batters your young boyfriend. I wonder who they’ll get to replace her on Love Island?! There have been reports that Laura Whitmore will be taking over, which makes sense as she’s dating the shows narrator, Ian Stirling.

I’m just glad I don’t have to hear “The Flack is back” next season. Now we get to hear “the Flack got the sack".
