Dude spends £700,000 on surgery to look like human Ken doll!
A Brazilian plastic surgery fanatic has taken his love of the Ken doll to new extremes by going under the knife again and again in a bid to look like his idol. Pity he’s just ended up looking like a butch lesbian instead.
Maurício Galdi, who apparently works as an actor, model and entrepreneur (????) had this to say about his bizarre transformation:
I always saw Ken as being perfect and I needed to be as close as possible to his image. In my younger years I regarded myself as not very good looking. I wanted to aspire to my favourite image which was the Ken figure and I already had some resemblance to Ken.
Err, no you didn’t mate! Brazilian-born Maurício had his first plastic surgery procedure at the age of 16 after he signed up to acting school and felt that he wasn't considered “good-looking enough to be an actor”, so he went under the knife to get his nose done. He loved the results so much that he began having more and more surgical procedures, including having silicone implants put into his arms, chest and bum to give the illusion of muscles.
Maurício also had a crazy procedure to permanently change his eye colour which could’ve made him blind but who cares about silly risks like that when you get to have some steely blue eyes at the end of it. Since then, Maurício has gone under the knife a further 11 times and claims he’s happier than ever. However, his mum Valéria Galdi, isn’t convinced. She said:
I was always against it all. Because I never thought that he needed to change. He was always a good looking kid, a good looking teen, so why change yourself? Someone who is always looking to change maybe is not completely satisfied with themselves. However, according to him, he is happy, but I don’t know if he is really happy.
Maurício insists he’s living his best life and claims to be making a mint from modelling and TV appearance. He said:
Quote:I live from my appearance. My days involve recording for TV channels, having photo shoots, attending events and promoting sponsorship's on social media.
Maurício knows his looks won’t last forever so he’s making the most of it while he’s still got it:
I know that being the Ken figure will not last forever, simply because we all are aging. I will become an ‘uncle’ Ken figure soon. But I have other business projects planned in the future. Today I have no regrets about anything
