Andy Serkis is rumoured to be the Villain in the new Batman movie
Word on the street is that Andy Serkis AKA Gollum will be the villain in the upcoming Batman movie.
The film will be directed by Matt Reeves and will star Robert Pattinson as Batman. If you haven’t seen R-Patz’ work, he’s a seriously talented actor so I reckon he can bring something new to the role of Batman.
Andy Serkis and Matt Reeves previously worked together on the Planet of the Apes films, so it kinda makes sense that Matt would get Serkis in for the Batman project. Can we also take a moment to appreciate Serkis’ insanely impressive CV - Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and the Marvel franchises. Every movie this dude touches turns to gold which is a good sign for the new Batman.
The question still remains; what villain will Serkis play? My guess is The Penguin but who the hell knows. I’ll keep you posted as soon as more details are released.
