Critics slam X-Men: Dark Phoenix as worst X-men ever made

X-Men: Dark Phoenix has only just been releases in the UK and already it’s received some pretty abysmal reviews, with the movie receiving the worst Rotten Tomatoes score any X-Men film has ever seen. Ouch.

Starring Sophie Turner as Jean Gray, the movie was described by 20th Century Fox as 'the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made', but they may have counted their chickens a tad soon with that statement because Dark Phoenix went on to score just 21% on Rotten Tomatoes. Which makes it the lowest score of any X-Men movie.

Here are some of the brutal reviews from critics:

Dark Phoenix ends an era of the X-Men franchise by taking a second stab at adapting a classic comics arc - with deeply disappointing results.
A wholly disappointing and forgetful culmination of this X-Men run', while another said it was 'a joyless addition to the long-running X-Men franchise'.

I personally think it looks good. I remember critics also panning X-Men: Apocalypse and I really enjoyed that film. Let’s all just come to own conclusions and tell the critics to go fuck themselves!
