Giant inflatable tits popped up in London over the weekend!
If you took a stroll around London over the weekend, you may have noticed some peculiar displays dotted around town - a bunch of gigantic inflatable knockers!
Yup, you heard me - giant titties! And although it was all meant to be a bit of fun, the massive tits also served a purpose. The realistic-looking tata’s were displayed around the Shoreditch area on Mother’s Day for the reason of tackling the outdated views surrounding public breastfeeding.
The boobs were installed by Elvie, a tech company which enhances women's lives through innovative technology. Here’s what Elvie CEO Tania Boler said about the campaign:
The #FreetheFeed campaign is an invitation to everyone to stand with all those women that have felt shamed or confined when breastfeeding or pumping. We know the giant boobs will raise a few eyebrows, but we want to make sure no one overlooks the way that this stigma has been used to repress women.
Hopefully this will encourage more people to stop being such giant fannies about seeing a woman breastfeed in public. It ain’t that big of a deal folks.
