Down with this sort of thing

The greatest mascot fight of all time happened 20 years ago today

#NeverForget

Wolves v Bristol City, November 7th 1998.  What should have been a friendly pre-match penalty shootout between between Wolfie, City Cat and the three little pigs turns sour.  Furry fists are thrown, and after another scuffle off-camera City Cat ends up getting sacked.

Drink it in.

Here's a thing though.  We all know why Wolves have got a mascot called Wolfie.  City Cat's a touch more tenuous, but if he's wearing the kit and showing ID then the stewards are probably letting him in.  The three little pigs though?  What the heck have they got to do with anything?  Seems to me like they were just planted to provoke Wolfie.  Not cool.
