Was a time when your rappers were actual gangsters with actual guns.

As the demographics shifted more towards kids with feelings, poor diction and Soundcloud profiles we mourned the death of a genre; though that was at least preferable to people being killed, right? Like, your beefs are cool and everything, but don't go getting yourself shot on my account.

Well, we either needn't have worried or should have absolutely continued worrying, because one way* or another**, rappers gonna die. It's as though the universe is against them, whatever their life choices.
