An Aston Villa fan threw a cabbage at Steve Bruce last night
After the disappointment of a play-off final defeat, followed by a chaotic summer where they were reportedly on the brink of administration; Aston Villa can be forgiven for having not exactly hit the ground running this season, right?
Prior to last night's 3-3 draw with Preston they'd taken 14 points from their opening ten games. Not amazing, but not disastrous either, and still within spitting distance of the play-off places. A couple of wins and you're wondering what all the fuss was about. Be patient, don't do anything too hasty...
Such as throwing a cabbage at the manager.
Steve Bruce was not happy.

It didn't hit him apparently, so there's that. A cabbage though. Who throws a cabbage? Who takes a cabbage with them to a football match? Unreal.
