Robert Englund is due to reprise his role as Freddy Kreuger!
Freddy Krueger is up there amongst the best horror movie characters ever created, and Robert Englund did an absolutely amazing job at portraying him. If you grew up watching the Nightmare on Elm Street, you'll remember how freaked out you got when Freddy Krueder came onto the screen with his knife gloves coming atcha. I get chills just thinking about it.
However, if you're too young to remember such a cult classic, it looks like you'll get your chance, as news has been confirmed that Englund will be returning as the haunter of your dreams in the upcoming Halloween episode of The Goldbergs. OK, so it's not exactly the return I was hoping for, but beggers can't be choosers. Here’s the official announcement:
He still looks just as good, or bad, as he did in the 80s. It may not be Nightmare on Elm Street but if it gives me a small dose of Freddy I'll watch it.
