Netflix's new documentary series 'The Staircase' could be the next 'Making a Murderer'
It's been two years since Making A Murderer first hit our screens - the show that had the entire world gripped. People were rooting for Steven Avery to get his just-deserved shot at freedom and were petitioning to get him out of prison, but sadly for Steven, people are fickle and he was soon forgooten - left to fester away in the clink. People definitely won't be paying him any mind to Steven Avery when they see the new crime doco Netflix has in store for us.
The Staircase is a new 13 part documentary series that tells the true story of crime author Michael Peterson, whose wife Kathleen was found dead at the bottom of their staircase on December 9th 2001. The series will follow Peterson’s attempts to clear his name after he’s accused of first degree murder in relation to the case. Check out the trailer:
There goes my evenings for a while. I can already see from the trailer that I'm going to be proper gutted for this guy. Of course, I could totally be sympathising with a murderer. That's the bloody thing with these shows. They make you feel heartbroken and yet we'll never truly know what actually happened. It'll still be a great watch though.
