This Morning resident doctor Dr Ranj wasn't having any of it though and told Scott it was unlikely that the painkillers 'made him gay', and said that when he took them himself they hadn't made him any 'gayer'. Brilliant! When asked if it was possible that painkillers can make someone gay, Dr Ranj said "In simple terms, no."

Scott said that he started taking the painkiller in early February and began to feel attracted to men within days. Dr Ranj said it was more likely that the drug made him feel more comfortable about his sexuality which would explain the sudden change. Dr Ranj said:

What it probably does, is allow you to express whatever was already there. All it has done is allowed you to be your true self.

Yup. I think we all knew that didn't we?!
