Danny Boyle to make a feminist James Bond
Danny Boyle has confirmed that he'll be directing the next James Bond film which will be the last instalment with Daniel Craig as 007.
Danny announced that he and John Hodge, who scripted Trainspotting, were working on a screenplay for Bond 25 which promises to modernise the franchise. Danny isn't giving too much away but he did say that the series will evolve to address the #MeToo movement. As long as they don't get some hairy-legged fat chick to replace the iconic Bond girls I'm all good.
When asked about the portrayal of women in the upcoming film, Danny replied:
You write in real time. You acknowledge the legacy of the world of Bond and you write in the world, but you also write in the modern world as well.
Although it's all pretty vague, Danny insists that Bond will finally meet his match in female form. After decades of Bond being labelled as misogynistic and sexist, they've certainly got their work cut out for them.
