Roly poly goalie Wayne Shaw has his say on Piegate
A recap, should you need it. Back in February Shaw, then Sutton United's reserve keeper, ate a pasty on the touchline during his side's high-profile FA Cup tie against Arsenal.
All fun and games, or so it first seemed, but it later emerged that SunBet (Sutton's sponsor for the day) were offering odds of 8/1 on him having a mid-game snack.
At this point the betting regulators got involved and Shaw was given the chop by the Sutton heirarchy.
He still claims he did nothing wrong but holds no grudges against his former employers. Have a listen to his interview on Radio 5 Live...
Hard to know whrat to make of it really. Especially with all this talk of pies and pasties...
